Architectural Technician / Technologist

Location: Newcastle

Salary: £27-35,000 DOE

An established architectural practice in Newcastle is looking for an experienced Architectural Technician or Technologist to join their collaborative team. This is a 100% office-based role, offering the chance to work on a range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects across the UK. AutoCAD proficiency is essential, with Revit experience considered a bonus.

Daily Duties:
  1. Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD
  2. Support architectural teams across RIBA Stages 3-5
  3. Assist with preparing planning and building regulation packages
  4. Coordinate with consultants, clients, and contractors to support project delivery
  5. Ensure all documentation complies with UK building regulations and best practices
  6. Contribute to technical problem-solving and design detailing

Ideal Candidate:
  1. Several years of relevant industry experience in the UK - Residential experience essential
  2. Highly proficient in AutoCAD (essential)
  3. Experience with Revit (beneficial but not required)
  4. Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations
  5. Confident communicator and team player
  6. Organised, proactive, and detail-focused
