Job Description

About The Role:

We’re working with a collaborative, design-focused architecture studio known for delivering boutique and crafted luxury homes from their tight-knit studio based in Oxford. The team is looking for an experienced Architect or Part II who is passionate and motivated about design-led projects.

This role would suit someone with a strong background in high-end residential design, who brings a proactive mindset, a real passion for architecture, and a desire to continually learn and push their skills. You’ll be joining a close-knit team that values creativity, initiative, and attention to detail.

You’ll be working across all stages of bespoke residential projects, from concept through to construction, liaising with private clients and contributing to beautiful, design-led homes. If you’re someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment and is excited about working on truly bespoke projects – this could be the perfect match.

The studio offers fast career progression, annual bonuses, and a 9-day fortnight working pattern. Based in the heart of Oxford, surrounded by great pubs, coffee spots, and well-connected transport links, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is ready to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate on the design and delivery of high-end residential projects, with input across all RIBA stages
  2. Take initiative in project delivery and problem-solving, working both independently and as part of a team
  3. Liaise confidently with private clients, consultants, and contractors throughout all project stages
  4. Demonstrate a strong eye for detail, particularly in the production of high-quality drawings and design packages
  5. Support the team with site visits, technical detailing, planning applications, and tender/construction documentation
  6. Be hands-on and ready to take ownership of tasks – big or small – with enthusiasm and efficiency
  7. Contribute to the studio’s collaborative, passionate culture

Key Skills/Requirements:

  1. A degree in Architecture is required (Part II or ARB-registered Architect)
  2. Minimum 2–3 years’ UK experience, including on high-end residential projects
  3. Experience delivering projects across RIBA stages, particularly through technical design and on site
  4. A good eye for detailing, materiality, and a strong design sensibility for luxury residential projects
  5. A proactive, self-motivated attitude with strong communication and organisational skills
  6. Proficiency in AutoCAD or ArchiCAD is necessary
  7. Experience with SketchUp and Adobe is beneficial
  8. Strong technical skills and a good understanding of UK building regulations and planning policy
  9. Fluent spoken and written English
