Architect - Healthcare Specialist & Job Runner

Location: Manchester
Salary: GBP45-55,000 DOE

A respected and long-established architectural practice is seeking a talented Architect with strong healthcare sector experience to join its Manchester studio. With a legacy spanning over 25 years and a team of around 80 professionals, this award-winning practice is known for delivering large-scale, high-quality projects across healthcare, education, residential, and commercial sectors.

Daily Duties:
  1. Lead large-scale healthcare projects through all RIBA stages
  2. Oversee and manage internal teams and external consultants
  3. Coordinate client presentations, design development, and technical delivery
  4. Produce and review detailed technical drawings and specifications in Revit (essential)
  5. Monitor site progress, resolve technical issues, and uphold design quality
  6. Ensure compliance with UK building regulations and healthcare-specific standards
  7. Take full responsibility for project delivery, budget oversight, and team leadership

Ideal Candidate:
  1. Fully qualified Architect (ARB registered) with significant post-qualification experience
  2. Substantial experience leading large-scale healthcare projects
  3. Strong Revit skills and confident working in a BIM environment
  4. Demonstrable experience running jobs independently from concept through delivery
  5. Deep understanding of UK building regulations and healthcare design guidelines (e.g. HBNs/HTMs)
  6. Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
