The Role
Do you have experience as an Arborist or Tree Surgeon and looking for a new challenge?

Landscape Services are on the lookout for an Arborist to join the team. Starting and finishing the day at our Thanet depot, the successful candidate will be working within a developing and growing tree works department, operating throughout Kent and beyond to provide specialised general tree maintenance and inspections for our wonderful customers.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year Arborist or Tree Surgeon experience and have the required qualifications to carry out their work. They will be a self-motivated individual who is passionate about working in this field and must be physically fit to climb trees.

A current, clean driving licence and full DBS check (provided by the Company) is required.

Key Duties:

• Performing all regular and specialised general tree maintenance, such as tree removal, pruning, and hedge cutting, inspecting trees and submitting reports electronically.
• Working with the Arboriculture Team Leader to complete projects to specification and time constraints.
• Maintaining a clean and professional working practice on site. Ensure safe working practices are always maintained. Identifying risks and unsafe practices to minimise potential for injury/accident and reporting any incidents/near misses.
• Liaising with our customers on a daily basis ensuring Landscape Services are represented professionally and in accordance with good customer care.

What we need from you:

• 002001 City & Guilds NPTC Chainsaw Maintenance or 002002 City & Guilds NPTC Cross-cut Using a Chainsaw.
• 002003 City & Guilds Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross-cutting or 002013 City & Guilds Tree Climbing & Aerial Rescue.
• 002106 City & Guilds Aerial Rescue Operations or 002108 City & Guilds Aerial Cutting of Trees with Chainsaw Using Free-fall techniques.
• A team player with a positive attitude and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• IT Literate and able to complete health and safety documents electronically.
