Arable Operator - Spray Fert Cultivation Mowing Baling - on mixed Arable Beef farm - Essex

We are a mixed arable and cattle farm based in South Essex cropping approx. 1000ac of cereals alongside grazing and hay making on approx. 1000ac of grassland and a 180 cow suckler herd.

Due to a member of staff moving on after 10 years with us we are looking for a tractor driver to join our team.

The role would be mostly arable orientated, operating a range of modern machinery but would also involve a portion of livestock and general farm work when required.

Responsibilities include:

1. Spraying with a Knight 30m trailed sprayer
2. Fertiliser spreading with a Lemken disc spreader
3. Cultivations with a New Holland T7.270 PLMi pulling various equipment
4. Mowing with a mounted mower conditioner
5. Baling silage, hay and straw with a New Holland BB1290 baler
6. Carting and stacking bales with a JCB 536-95
7. Mucking out and muck spreading
8. Hedge cutting
9. General machine maintenance

Minimum Requirements:

1. Full driving licence
2. PA 1, 2 and Telehandler certificates
3. Good recording and time keeping skills
4. Confidence in using modern electronics GPS and ISOBus
5. Mechanical sympathy and understanding
6. Good attitude to teamwork and ability to work long hours when required

This is a full-time position, with a well provisioned mobile home available with water, electricity and high-speed internet included. Good rate of pay depending on experience.
