Apprenticeship Compliance Support Specialist

Location: Eakring, Nottinghamshire (Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite)

Contract Length: 6 months (with potential to extend)

Salary: Circa £44,000 per annum

Are you passionate about ensuring compliance in apprenticeship programmes? Do you have a keen eye for detail? Our client, a leading organisation in the utilities sector, is seeking an Apprenticeship Compliance Support Specialist to join their team for an initial 6-month role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute temporary project work related to apprenticeship funding compliance activities.
  2. Lead and implement actions stemming from a recent internal funding compliance audit, ensuring all recommendations are effectively addressed.
  3. Build comprehensive evidence packs for all learners in the programme to enhance future ESFA audit performance.
  4. Develop and review costing spreadsheets for Legacy apprenticeship training programmes.
  5. Support the rollout of a newly established subcontractor process.
  6. Collaborate with the wider team and other departments to gather evidence for funded learning concerning Legacy apprenticeship learners.
  7. Expand the scope of the project to include a second Apprenticeship provision.

Required Skills:

  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  2. Experience within the apprenticeship sector, with a solid understanding of ESFA funding rules.
  3. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to pursue information and assert deadlines, recognising the critical nature of ESFA compliance.
  4. Ability to analyse results, create compliance plans, and produce necessary documentation for funding.
  5. Experience in managing subcontracting arrangements and awareness of contractual obligations.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have a background in apprenticeships or related fields, such as Learning & Development or Talent Management. You should be comfortable facilitating professional conversations and possess the ability to teach funding principles to others. Your strong analytical skills will be vital as you create evidence packs and documentation for hundreds of learners.
