DNA offers full and partial property management services for residential developments in and around Bristol. Our experienced team provides a bespoke service and specializes in residential block and estate management.

Role:

  • Apprentice Trainee Property Bookkeeper Administrator
  • Full time 30 hours.
  • Mon-Fri - 10-4pm.
  • Pay: £9,216.00-£12,000.00 per year
Job description

To assist the Property Managers in the administration of their portfolios of residential apartment blocks and housing estates, whilst learning the skills required to become a Property Bookkeeper Administrator. There are different levels of apprenticeship; you will start on the level most suited to your skills and experience and can work your way through each course, on average it takes 12 months per course. All training is provided at our offices; no college attendance is required. Once sufficient skills are acquired, a full-time role will be offered, this could be part way through the apprenticeship, but you would still continue and finish to gain your qualifications. Would suit someone who has recently finished studying either A levels or a degree aged between 18 and 23. You will be based at our Great George Street Bristol office.

Main Tasks:
  • Regular meetings with your dedicated online tutor.
  • Apprenticeship studies during work time.
  • Drafting and mailing of various letters, AGM invitations, and mail shots.
  • Answering the phone to residents, developers, contractors, solicitors, and surveyors and directing the calls accordingly.
  • Working on Blockman software adding bank transactions, invoices, payments, and reconciling the same.
  • General bookkeeping duties, preparing each property's financial information to be passed onto the accountants for service charge account preparation.
  • Updating our leaseholder portal, and leaseholder information on Blockman.
  • Matching invoices for payment to work orders.
  • General company secretarial work e.g., updating Companies House with changes.
  • Providing administrative support to the Property Managers.
  • Dealing with correspondence and any other support tasks as required.
  • Raise work orders.
  • Any other administrative duties relevant for the effective management of each property.
Qualities Required:
  • Hands-on and able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively with a keenness to help others.
  • Keenness to provide exemplary service to clients.
  • High level of discretion and diplomacy.
  • Good attention to detail.
To be considered as Apprentice Trainee Property Bookkeeper Administrator, you will need:
  • To be a proficient IT user, with the ability to use MS packages and internal systems. (Training given on Blockman Software System and Companies House).
  • Good sense of urgency.
  • Must be organised and able to prioritise work.
  • A fluent level of English with excellent spelling and grammar.
  • Educated to GCSE level as a minimum grades C-A (4-9).
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
  • Pay: £9,216.00-£12,000.00 per year
