Job description

CLC is one of the UK’s leading property maintenance and refurbishment groups with a turnover of c.£250m, around 1,000 employees and a national presence serving sectors such as social housing, defence, hotel and leisure, healthcare, education, and more.

CLC has grown significantly over the last few years and has ambitious growth plans to double in size in the next 4 years.

The Role

Becoming an apprentice at CLC is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and training. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, whilst learning on the job. You will be expected to attend school/college once a week as part of your apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

Working alongside a fully qualified and experienced Multi trader to:

  • Ensure multi trade work is delivered in a professional manner, in line with CLC Core Values and Equality standards.
  • Learn how to charge multi trade work with your CLC Mentor, identifying cost reduction methods.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of service in line with CLC Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure and undertake any recording of work and administration required by CLC standards and timescales.
  • Report any Health and Safety issues and outstanding defects to your Supervisor, Contracts Manager, Health and Safety team and Apprentice Co-ordinator.

This list of responsibilities and requirements is not exhaustive, and some degree of flexibility is required to support the success of the department.


Skills

  • Educated to GCSE standard (English and Maths grade 4 or above) or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate messages clearly and accurately on the telephone and in person.
