We are currently looking to welcome an Electrical Apprentice, who is looking to start their career in electrics, as part of our ongoing commitment to introduce more Apprenticeships into our business.

We are delighted to offer this opportunity, which will enable you to complete an Apprenticeship NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and will be supported by our Electrical Team who hold a wealth of expertise within this field. This is an ideal opportunity for you to gain an excellent industry qualification whilst being supported with practical on the job training.

About The Role

You will be working on targets related to your Apprenticeship and role performance objectives agreed by your company appointed Mentor. You will also attend all college sessions, and complete training, assessments, and progress reviews. College will be attended by day release and travel to attend your college course will be paid for by the company.

Main Responsibilities

• You will demonstrate an active involvement/interest in the Electrical Department, spending time learning from the different Electrical teams.
• Interacting and working collaboratively with all levels of Selwood staff to achieve all agreed outcomes.
• Demonstrate continued development of your knowledge of Electrics, with the support of a dedicated mentor.

This role may require a safety critical medical as part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications & Experience

• GCSE or equivalent English Language (Grade 4 or 5 / Grade C)
• GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4 or 5 / Grade C)
• Keen interest in the Electrical field.
• Learning Agility – Be able to demonstrate learning from experience and applying it in new ways, adapting to new circumstances and opportunities.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills, adapting your style and approach to meet the needs of your stakeholders whilst working well in a team.
• Understand and respect safety procedures to keep yourself and those around you safe.
• Good understand of Excel and the Microsoft Suite with the ability to develop skills on the job.
• Demonstrate an ability to analyse, troubleshoot, and use problem-solving skills.

We are open to someone who has already completed Year 1 of their Electrical Installation NVQ.
