The ESP Group are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Journeycall Arbroath.

What your day will look like:

  • Supporting the investigation, troubleshooting and resolution of support requests face to face and for remote workers
  • Supporting the deployment and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners and general office hardware
  • Setup and administration of various user accounts
  • Supporting the Journeycall telephony platform
  • Patch and vulnerability management
  • Asset Management and PAT Testing
  • Maintaining information security standards and PCI compliance
  • Maintaining all asset inventories and producing appropriate reports

The role is challenging, demanding, and fast-paced. You will be providing 1st line support for a wide range of areas and technologies including PCs, laptops, printers, applications, etc.

Within this full-time role (37.5 hours per week), you will be required to deliver into a flexible rota across 7 days.

Important Information:

This role is a vocational apprenticeship which comprehensively supports your job role with The ESP Group. Throughout your learning journey, you will be fully supported by your dedicated QA skills coach and your workplace mentor, who will ensure you settle in, help you develop all the skills you need to be successful in your job role and to pass your assessments, and can provide one-to-one support throughout.

On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification. There is also opportunity for career progression within the business upon completion of the apprenticeship.

  • Be 16 years old or over
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK
  • Not hold a similar or higher qualification to the apprenticeship being applied for

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £22,308.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Arbroath: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
