Fixed term 18 months (with progression into permanent opportunities available), Full Time (37.5 hpw) with flexible hours

Hourly Pay between £10.00 to £12.21 (dependent on age)

Typical day as a Home Group Apprentice

• You’re a positive, confident and enthusiastic communicator and would enjoy the challenge of balancing competing priorities and working to tight deadlines - we work in a fast-paced environment!
• We’re a new and growing team and searching for enthusiastic individuals to get onboard and help keep our colleagues smiling. We’ll work together to deliver a cracking workspace experience through fun and meaningful events at the freshest workspace in town, One Strawberry Lane.
• Your super sparkly personality is really going to impress our colleagues, visitors and community sector. You’ll build confidence as you go and learn to adapt to each person’s needs seamlessly. When one of us shines, we all shine!

Your academic learning will be delivered by one of our specialist apprenticeship providers and you will receive support from an experienced tutor as well as from within your own team. You’ll be given time to attend all learning sessions and to complete your studies whilst having access to the learning materials and practical experience that will make a success of your apprenticeship.

You’ll have

• Hold Level 2 English and Maths (that’s a GCSE grade A-C or 9-4)
• Understand the importance of brilliant verbal and written communication skills with a desire to learn these skills yourself.
• Have confidence in your IT skills, particularly using Outlook.
• Have the ability to work on your own initiative, ask questions and pro-actively learn your role.
• Be keen to learn how to prioritise workloads and thrive under pressure
• Be able to deal with sensitive information confidently and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Have a fantastic attitude, be keen to learn and able to build brilliant team relationships.

We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn and develop within a role that is very customer focused but which also has admin tasks that require attention to detail and good organization skills. We’d also like you to have good IT skills but hey, this is an apprenticeship, so we’ll teach you all you need to know. You’re going to really impress us if you’re proactive, motivated and a real self-starter.

You’ll work alongside a team of 5 who are all passionate about helping our colleagues, customers and other visitors have the best experience when visiting our super shiny new head office, the hub of Home Group.

Karen and Alex are our managers, and they can’t wait to meet you, so be prepared to be quizzed on your music tastes, favourite boxsets to binge and top 5 crisps...

Other members of the team will help you learn the ropes and you’ll be pleased to hear others have recently completed this qualification too, and they’ll be happy to support and inspire you to achieve your very best during your apprenticeship learning.

Job details

• Our award-winning apprenticeship programme has been designed to get our customers and colleagues on the career ladder! (How awesome is that!) Don’t be put off by the word apprentice as you can be any age to apply
• Your wage will be higher than the national apprenticeship minimum wage, so start planning what to spend that extra cash on!
• You’ll be employed for a 15-month period to get stacks of experience and launch your career. You’ll start at level 2 with possible progression onto a level 3!
• Many of our apprentices secure a permanent role with us so who knows where you’ll end up in the future!
• Flexible working hours (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
