Wage: £23,000 a year, £23,000 - £25,000 dependent on qualifications and previous work experience.
Training Course: Professional accounting or taxation technician (level 4)
Hours: Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. 35 hours a week

As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
As a trainee accountant, you will work as part of a team assisting with clients' accounting needs. This position involves a number of different aspects including:
Assignments will be undertaken both in the office and at client's premises. Trainees will have support and on-the-job training from managers and other senior staff.
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Your Training Course: Professional accounting or taxation technician (level 4), equal to higher national certificate (HNC)
You will undertake the "Professional Accounting Technician" Apprenticeship (a Higher Apprenticeship in Accounting), with full support from Accountancy Learning as part of their Flexible Apprenticeship Programme. Assessment will be by an "End Point Assessment" and will be graded "Pass" or "Distinction". This will include two elements:
You will receive support from both the employer and the training provider to complete and achieve your Apprenticeship and will be given time to study during the week on a day release basis. As you are working towards a professional qualification, it is also expected that you will continue your studies outside of normal office hours.
