Applications Solutions Architect

Are you an experienced Applications Solution Architect with a passion for driving technical excellence and leading innovation?

You will own the holistic Architecture, Design and Communication of solutions hosted upon the secure collaboration platform. You will focus on business, application and data layers but work closely with architects with domain specialisms of infrastructure, security and service. You will own solutions, both comprising of the existing capability but also new services identified to meet the needs of existing and new clients.

This is a hybrid working role, where you could be based anywhere in the UK, with weekly travel to our newly refurbished Office in Farnborough.

What you'll be doing:

You will be responsible for producing outline designs which meet the functional and non-functional requirements, and which focus on aspects such as:

• Compatibility with current and future business and technical strategies and roadmaps
• Integration with existing systems
• Support of business processes, including usability and performance
• Ease of maintenance & Affordability
• Changes to service, process, organisation, and operating models

Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout implementation and change.

Perform reviews of services, applications and data to confirm that solutions are compliant with policies and standards, and compatible with the IT Strategy and roadmaps.

What you’ll bring:

• Application standards, models and industry trends.
• Experience of designing complex solutions which are predominantly based on COTS products.
• Zero-Trust Architecture standards as it pertains to applications and flows.
• Modern Application and Software Development practices (DevSecOps).
• Security & Cyber awareness, e.g., SEF, Controls, CSD products.

It would be great if you had:

• Data Centric Security models, labelling and their architectures.
• Cross Domain Solutions.
• Application Labelling standards.
• Application interfaces, e.g., RESTful, API etc.
• Experience of COTS applications such as Forcepoint, SharePoint, Boldon James etc.
• Zero Trust Architecture.
