Position Summary:

The Applications Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering technical solutions that meet customer requirements while aligning with business objectives. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with sales teams to create competitive proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Sales to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
• Utilize expertise in lighting, optics, high-speed conveyors, and industrial communication protocols.
• Travel onsite to assess project requirements, optimise system designs, and support installations.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to the Logistics Sales team.
• Create competitive technical and commercial proposals to drive business growth.
• Support project execution from award through to installation and commissioning.
• Conduct demonstrations, technical evaluations, and participate in trade shows.

Requirements:

• Experience in machine vision, logistics, and application engineering.
• Strong knowledge of lighting, optics, and industrial controls.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop technical proposals.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders.
• Experience in project management and influencing the sales cycle.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
