We are currently looking for an Antibody Scientist to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Antibody Scientist, you will be responsible for performing Mammalian Cell culture (CHO and HEK) and Antibody Production (expression, purification and characterisation).

This is an initial 12 month contract with likely extension.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Antibody Scientist will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Perform small-scale transient mammalian transfections and purify monoclonal antibodies using automated techniques.
  2. Troubleshoot purification and quality issues, interpret data, and propose creative solutions to ensure the delivery of high-quality reagents.
  3. Lead and support the development, optimisation, and implementation of automated/robotic high-throughput platforms for antibody expression and purification.
  4. Apply data analysis and visualisation tools to improve workflows and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Antibody Production and Automation Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

  1. Relevant degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields.
  2. Proven industry experience in cell culture, antibody expression, purification, or characterisation.
  3. A working knowledge and practical experience with protein biochemistry, purification techniques, and analytical methods.
