Job description

CK Group are recruiting for an Antibody Discovery Scientist to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Stevenage, on a contract basis for 12 months.

Salary:
£20.00 per hour PAYE.

Antibody Discovery Scientist Role:
  1. Takes accountability for expression and characterisation of panels of antibody molecules.
  2. Will include the use of novel automation solutions.
  3. Plan, design, and execute experiments to characterise proteins using biophysical methods, such as SEC, DLS, and DSF.
  4. Communicate experimental outcomes to non-experts on multi-disciplinary project teams.

Your Background:
  1. PhD or equivalent experience in chemical or biological sciences.
  2. Demonstrated, hands-on experience characterising proteins using biophysical methods.
  3. Experience in working with automated liquid handlers preferred.
  4. Familiarity with antibody drug discovery processes.
  5. Experience of vectorology, plasmid DNA purification and QC, and other molecular biology techniques.
