Anti-Money Laundering Investigator

About this role

We're looking for our next Anti-Money Laundering Investigator to join our UK AML Team, this role will focus on delivering in-depth and high quality investigative work. This includes investigation of potential money laundering activity through individual case review and proactive monitoring of account activity. Protecting the business against financial crime is at the heart of everything we do, as we continue to grow the business this is an exciting time to join the team.

What you'll do

• Investigation of transaction monitoring reports and suspicions raised by the business. You will use a range of applications to fully investigate the suspicious activity.
• You will perform thorough case reviews, reporting suspicions to the National Crime Agency when required.
• Ongoing monitoring and investigation of existing AML cases and making balanced recommendations based on investigation findings.
• Accurate record keeping of the investigations you complete and the work you carry out.
• Be a well-respected SME for AML related queries and processes.
• Have the opportunity to support the testing and delivery of projects and initiatives impacting the AML function.
• Identify issues that impact the AML function and liaise with other business areas.

What we're looking for

• Previous investigative experience in Fraud or AML is preferred but not a requirement as we will provide you with full training.
• An analytical nature, focus and high attention to detail are essential.
• In an area of high regulatory scrutiny, this role requires investigators to demonstrate the highest level of integrity and discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, and as part of a wider team.

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office.

We have a hybrid working model which gives you flexibility to work from our offices and from home.

We're big on collaboration and connection, so you'll be based in our Nottingham office 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
