Analytical Chemist

Job Description

This Brigg Scientific client is an established speciality chemicals manufacturer based in Manchester. They are looking for a number of QC Analytical Chemists to provide support for a newly commissioned manufacturing line. Providing 7 day a week cover on a rota, they will be testing the quality of incoming raw materials, in-process intermediates, and final products.

Your background will include:

• Experience of HPLC
• Wet chemistry bench analysis
• Organic chemistry
• Viscosity testing
• Testing and spectroscopy

Ideally, you will have strong analytical experience from a hands-on industrial background and possess excellent communication and IT skills. Experience of ester-based insulating oils would be a distinct advantage.

The role is offered as an initial 6-month fixed-term contract with an immediate start.

Providing 7-day cover on a rotating shift pattern, the salary will be between £27-30k.
