In this role, the Analyst, Transport Maintenance will create national targets and processes related to fleet and equipment performance. Utilizing various systems, they will create a comprehensive report for operations, reviewing driver safety and performance. In partnership with Transport Operations, this position will focus on consistency and accuracy to drive efficiencies and build a culture of excellence.

What you will do:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on transport fleet programs including but limited to: telematic, repairs and maintenance, yard management programs and OE portals.
  • Perform training, nationally and regionally on programs that support the Transport Maintenance and Operations team.
  • Create SOP’s and training manuals for specific programs and initiatives and ensure that they are being followed; create dashboards and targets for the fleet to achieve these initiatives.
  • Ensure that programs that support the Supply Chain operations and R&M team are up to date, this would include all equipment files in multiple programs including specs, attributes / VRMS’s codes.
  • Establish a work intake processes and prioritize enhancements based on impact to the business with the aim of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the rapid development and deployment of enhancements and innovative technologies.
  • Development of solutions supporting systems and enhancements which include research, development, build, and execution required by the business to achieve operational goals.
  • Emphasis on colleague experience, enabling capabilities and tools that drive efficiencies and simplicity.
  • Manage hardware inventory and refurbishing telematic devices.
  • Partnership and collaboration with vendors with set expectations, communication cadence and decision-making procedures.

What you will need:

  • Experience with any of the following systems would be an asset: Cetaris, Samsara, Ibright, Shuntware.
  • Well versed in commercial equipment, class 8 trucks /trailers/ reefers etc.
  • Experience working with transport fleet.
  • Strong leadership skills with a professional attitude, with the ability to gain consensus among various groups.
  • Ability to persuade or negotiate with contacts inside and outside an organization.
  • Ability to work and embrace change in a very fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Experience working on the business side of IT related Transportation Systems projects.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously while successfully meeting milestones.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools, specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook.
