We are looking for a Publishing Coordinator to join us at Amnesty International UK (AIUK) on an FTC until December 2019. This role is based in the Communications and Engagement Team.
The Publishing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the publishing programme, using literature to further the understanding and appreciation of human rights, to reach new audiences and to raise the profile of our brand. They will support the planning and execution of our publishing strategy.
You will have experience of publishing, particularly editorial, as well as managing relationships with authors, illustrators and poets. You will have working knowledge of contracts, licences and permissions. You will be well organised with the ability to plan and co-ordinate several projects of conflicting deadlines, as well as the ability to manage volunteers. You will need to write fluently and persuasively and have good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
