Job Title – America and Canada Sales

Job Location – Nottingham

Salary – 22k Basic with a 37k plus OTE

We are recruiting a retail travel consultant or business travel consultant that wants to work for one of the UK’s leading America and Canada specialist tour operators. This fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Travel Consultant to join a team that talks about America daily.

You will be responsible for designing, proposing and negotiating travel packages to America and Canada. You must develop a strong portfolio of clients that will book with you yearly. You must manage the customer experience, understanding their needs and providing an outstanding level of customer service and product expertise.

The great news about the role is my client regularly arranges for staff to travel to various regions of America, allowing you to experience what you create daily for your clients and learn about the destinations you sell.

To apply for the role, you must have a successful career in travel sales behind you, including great experience of selling long haul tailor-made holidays.

Sales Consultant Key Responsibilities:

  1. Taking enquiries through various channels, listening to your customer’s needs, and using your extensive travel knowledge to tailor-make a variety of exciting trips.
  2. Suggesting potential itineraries and products, offering a full travel service to help maximise the customer's travel experience and the value of the booking, thus providing the customer with an exceptional experience.
  3. Ensuring that all arrangements are booked to the customer’s satisfaction.
  4. Be responsible for making sure that all payments are taken correctly, that tickets and documents are issued correctly, and that all necessary documentation is dispatched appropriately.

Sales Consultant Key Skills:

  1. Recent travel industry sales experience is essential.
  2. Account management experience preferred.
  3. Excellent people skills.
  4. Strong communication and influencing skills.
  5. Provide a supreme level of customer service at all times.
  6. To be organised and self-motivated to plan and deliver high-quality work.
