Job description

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate Ambulance Care Assistants to transport our patients, who are frail or need specialist assistance, to and from appointments at hospitals, treatment centres and other similar facilities.

We can offer you a 3-week paid training course. You would need to be available to attend a training on a full-time basis over a period of 15 workings days. Clinically trained to standards that allow you to be competent as a 'First Person on Scene', patient transport driver training, and a full uniform. Every day is different as an ACA and you could really make a difference to our patients.

Main duties of the job

No two days are the same in the role of Ambulance Care Assistant. If you enjoy a challenge and delivering the best care possible for people, then the Ambulance Care Assistant role may be for you.

If you have experience of caring for people and proven customer care and communication skills with the public, then we would like to hear from you. You will need to be flexible, adaptable, and at times, discreet. A good sense of humour and local knowledge of the area you are applying to work in will also be an advantage.

You will need a driver's licence. Please note that a maximum of 3 penalty points will be considered for a minor motoring offence only. If you have more than 3 penalty points on your licence, there will be no exceptions to this rule and you will not progress any further through the recruitment and selection process.
