Experienced College Lecturers needed in Cardiff after Easter.

Are you passionate about supporting disaffected pupils suffering from behavioural or emotional needs?

Are you nurturing, flexible, and patient?

Do you have experience in delivering Independent Living Skills?

TeacherActive is currently recruiting experienced Teachers to support the learning and development of pupils requiring additional support in Colleges. Some of these pupils may be NEET and at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. The College caters to a diverse range of pupils with additional learning and emotional/social needs, and experience in handling challenging behaviour is essential.

The primary focus of this role will be to deliver core skills in English and Maths at GCSE level.

Skills and Experience:
  1. Understanding and appreciation of working with disengaged pupils and those with SEN/ALN/Challenging Behaviour;
  2. Able to deliver a non-accredited curriculum within the framework;
  3. Understanding and appreciation of delivering Independent Living Skills;
  4. Knowledge and experience in positive behaviour strategies and helping children self-regulate their emotions;
  5. Excellent written communication and reporting skills;
  6. Excellent timekeeping and reliability with an empathetic and understanding nature;
