Exciting Opportunity: AIT Mechanical Engineer
Are you a talented Mechanical Engineer looking to join an innovative and dynamic team? This company is seeking an exceptional AIT Mechanical Engineer to play a crucial role in the production of cutting-edge satellites and payloads.
As an AIT Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing vital support to the assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of mechanical systems. This will involve writing processes, plans, and procedures in 3D Experience, as well as supporting the hardware assembly on the satellite, such as black boxes, solar arrays, and structure panels.
You will also play a key role in supporting the satellite's environmental testing at the test facility and during launch. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and contribute to the success of high-profile projects.
The ideal candidate for the AIT Mechanical Engineer role will have a minimum of an HNC-level qualification in a mechanical discipline, or equivalent industry experience. You should possess a strong understanding of complex mechanical systems, as well as experience in lean manufacturing techniques, including 5S, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
Additionally, you should have a proven track record of supporting production teams on the shop floor, as well as preparing and carrying out environmental tests (e.g., vibration, acoustic, mass properties, thermal) at the unit, subsystem, instrument, and spacecraft levels.
