Purpose of the position:

This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness and regulatory compliance of the airline’s fleet through meticulous records and configuration management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Aircraft Records Management
    • Maintain and update aircraft and engine airworthiness records, including logbooks, technical records, and maintenance documentation.
    • Ensure all documentation complies with applicable regulations (e.g., UK CAA).
    • Archive, retrieve, and provide documentation for inspections, audits, and lease transitions.
  2. Aircraft Configuration Control
    • Monitor and manage the aircraft configuration, including installed components, modifications, and repairs.
    • Update and track aircraft status in accordance with approved maintenance programmes (AMP) and manufacturers’ recommendations.
    • Ensure that aircraft software, hardware, and component changes are accurately reflected in records and systems.
  3. Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure all records and configurations meet airworthiness regulations and airline policies.
    • Support audits and inspections conducted by aviation authorities or internal quality teams.
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of reports to aviation regulatory bodies.
  4. Coordination with Stakeholders
    • Collaborate with the planning, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of records and configuration management processes.
    • Liaise with lessors, manufacturers, and regulators to provide records for aircraft delivery, return, or transfer.
  5. Data Management and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records in digital and physical formats.
    • Provide regular reports on aircraft status, compliance, and upcoming maintenance requirements.
    • Identify and implement process improvements for managing airworthiness records and configuration control.
    • Stay updated with regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Training: Airbus A320FAM training preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a CAMO or similar environment, specifically in airworthiness records and/or configuration management.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of continuing airworthiness regulations (e.g., UKCAA Part-M/Part-CAMO, Part-145, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity: with aircraft maintenance programmes, technical documentation, and records management systems.
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Experience: in using maintenance tracking systems - AMOS, and MS Office.
  • Strong: communication and coordination abilities.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to compliance and safety standards.
