The Role

Are you ready to step into a pivotal role where your expertise can shine? TalentTide is on the hunt for an Airtime Billing Manager who will take the reins of the UK monthly billing cycle. As the heartbeat of the Airtime team, you'll be responsible for all aspects of billing management and monthly reporting. Your leadership will guide the UK Airtime Billing team through day-to-day operations and foster collaboration with internal and group teams.

You'll become the go-to expert on products and services, translating that knowledge into precise billing solutions for customers. Your analytical skills will be key as you produce and analyse airtime reports, supporting senior management and other stakeholders. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in resolving billing and provisioning requests for both internal and external customers.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership: Manage and inspire the UK Airtime Billing team, ensuring all activities align with company goals.
  2. Database Oversight: Maintain the accuracy of the airtime billing database and manage third-party systems.
  3. Request Processing: Handle activations, deactivations, and package changes for all services, advising on Early Termination Fees as needed.
  4. Monthly Cycles: Oversee monthly billing cycles, ensuring accurate configuration for billing and timely error resolution.
  5. Invoice Management: Validate and approve invoices before issuance, ensuring smooth processing within product timelines.
  6. Analytical Reporting: Extract and present reports for billing and activation, aiding in strategic decision-making.
  7. Freshdesk Management: Ensure that ticketing queues are efficiently managed and resolved within SLAs, keeping customers informed.
  8. Customer Interaction: Liaise with customers, suppliers, and various departments to guarantee timely and accurate processing.
  9. Training and Support: Provide internal and external training on relevant systems, elevating team capabilities.
  10. Complaint Management: Handle escalations and manage complaints with professionalism and care.

What You Bring
Must-Haves:
  1. Proven experience in team management and Airtime Billing.
  2. Strong background in telecom billing software and processes.
  3. Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  4. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Advanced Excel skills (think pivot tables, charts, and lookup queries).
  7. Self-motivated with a commitment to learning about services offered.
  8. Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-focused mentality.
Nice-to-Haves:
  1. Familiarity with Access or SQL.
  2. Experience in the Satcoms or Cellular sectors.
  3. Knowledge of ERP systems.
