LOCATION: London City Airport

SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday, 4 on 4 off shift basis

PAY RATE: £22.56 per hour to £24.40 per hour

Role Overview And Purpose

The Security Officer will ensure exemplary standards of Security and Customer Service are always provided to the client and visitors to the site. The role will be the public face of the Security Team and should always act with professionalism. A can-do attitude is essential in this highly influential role.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Be an ambassador of the site delivering first-class guest-focused service each time.
  2. Work as a team player in meeting guest needs and actively contribute to the efforts of all departments.
  3. Carry out regular patrols of the centre as detailed in the site assignment instructions, always being proactive.
  4. Continuously look for opportunities to assist visitors at the centre, proactively helping wherever opportunities arise.
  5. Ensure all incidents are managed in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  6. Liaise with the site control room, proactively reacting to incidents and ensuring colleagues are fully briefed and always supported.
  7. Maintain vigilance and highlight/manage unauthorized access by banned individuals.
  8. Ensure radio procedures are always adhered to.
  9. Liaise closely with the Environmental Services team, delivering one service and highlighting opportunities to work as one team.
