Morson Talent are currently recruiting for an aircraft mechanical fitter for our prestigious client based at RAF Valley.
£20.23 per hour PAYE / £27.07 per hour Umbrella
2 week rotational shift pattern:
Week 1 - Monday to Friday Winter 10.00 to 18:30 (Summer 11:00 to 19:30) - 30 minute break - 40 hours worked
Week 2 - Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:30 - 30 minute break - 40 hours worked
Average 40 hours a week.
Job Description:
The Aircraft Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet.
Non-certifying role.
The main responsibilities of the post holder will be:
Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM.
Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required.
Assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
The post holder would ideally have the following Knowledge and Skills:
ESSENTIAL
Must have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.
Must have up to date knowledge of:
Flight/Airport Operations
Aircraft Line Maintenance
Aircraft Base Maintenance.
DESIRABLE
Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS.
Knowledge of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
We require the post holder to have the following Education, Qualifications or special training:
ESSENTIAL
Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
DESIRABLE
Experience on H135/H145.
The post holder should have the following experience:
ESSENTIAL
Experience of Base Maintenance.
Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.
