Aircraft Maintenance Team Leader

Role Overview:

As the A&P Mechanic Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations of our maintenance facility. This position is ideal for someone looking to take on a leadership role while overseeing a team of skilled mechanics. You’ll ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of our fleet, including Cessnas and Cirrus aircraft, and be an integral part of our growing team.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and oversee all maintenance operations in the shop.
2. Train and mentor less experienced mechanics, promoting skill development.
3. Ensure all aircraft maintenance meets safety and regulatory standards.
4. Work closely with the director of maintenance and other staff for smooth operations.
5. Manage the increasing maintenance needs as our fleet grows from 21 to 25 aircraft.
6. Troubleshoot and repair avionics and sheet metal issues on general aviation aircraft.
7. Maintain compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as an A&P mechanic.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
3. Solid understanding of general aviation maintenance and repair.
4. Familiarity with FAA regulations.
5. Experience troubleshooting avionics and sheet metal issues.
6. Commitment to high safety and compliance standards.
