Job description

Licensed Aircraft Engineer

Salary: Up to circa £62,000 per annum (dependent on license type) + up to £8,000 towards license maintenance + £6,150 shift allowance
Location: Heathrow, United Kingdom
Hours: Various shifts available (days and double days) 37.5 per week
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Aircraft Licensed Engineers Responsibilities:

  1. Aircraft Maintenance: Conduct line maintenance, preventive maintenance, and system alterations, ensuring compliance with UK CAA regulations.
  2. System Testing & Repairs: Perform built-in and manual tests, troubleshoot electronic failures, and replace defective parts.
  3. Customer Support: Engage with airline representatives to document repairs and maintain service records.
  4. Spare Inventory Management: Assist in tracking spare inventory and ensuring availability of required components.
  5. Additional Duties: Communicate effectively with management, operate vehicles within airport properties, adhere to health and safety standards, and undertake other duties as required by supervisors.

Aircraft Licensed Engineers Requirements:

  1. Licenses: Must hold an A or B1 or B2 License with a Type Rating on one or more of the following: A380, A350, A330, A320, 787, 777, 767.
  2. Strong knowledge of electrical mechanics and aircraft systems.
  3. Background in commercial aviation, military service, or technical school is highly desirable.
