E & M Talent Partners are supporting a well-established business in Yorkshire that is looking for an experienced installation engineer with extensive knowledge in installing and working on refrigeration and air conditioning systems, such as freezers, chillers, VRF/VRV, and split systems for our blue-chip commercial clients, including the NHS, universities, hospitality, restaurant outlets, hotels, commercial offices, and leisure.
Role Responsibilities
- Highly experienced and time-served in installing and working on a wide variety of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning VRF/VRV and split systems.
- Experienced in working on various centralized controllers, control panels, and refrigeration controls/electrical circuits.
- Commissioning of large VRF/VRV and split air conditioning systems.
- Able to read drawings and schematics.
- Effectively diagnose, identify faults, and failures with equipment and systems, providing effective solutions.
- Liaise closely with the projects department and company directors on a day-to-day basis.
- Coordinate and control installations on-site.
- Liaise closely with clients to maintain excellent stakeholder relationships when required.
- Work in a safe and controlled manner following all necessary internal health & safety processes and client-specific site requirements.
- Participate in the on-call rota to support the business in achieving its 24/7/365 response (currently 1 in 10).
The Ideal Candidate
- A highly experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning engineer.
- F-Gas / EN 378 compliant.
- High level of interpersonal skills - good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write reports.
- High-quality workmanship and pride in work is a MUST.
- Confident in your own ability.
- Flexible to assist with call-out rota and, if required, out of normal working hours service.
- Open to work on all types of mechanical systems when required.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a “can-do” attitude.
- Good electrical competence, including the ability to read wiring schematics and test control circuits.
- Full driving license.
