Make Agency is a dynamic digital agency based in the heart of London. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a passionate AI & Data Lead to join our team.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced AI & Data Lead to spearhead our agency's adoption and application of artificial intelligence and data-driven strategies. This is a pivotal role that will shape our future direction, driving innovation and enhancing our creative output. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of AI and data technologies, combined with a passion for creative problem-solving and a strong commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development: Develop and implement the agency's AI and data strategy, aligning it with business objectives and client needs. This includes identifying opportunities for AI and data integration across all agency functions, from creative development to media planning and client servicing.
  2. Technology Evaluation & Implementation: Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate AI and data tools and platforms. Oversee the implementation and integration of these technologies into existing workflows.
  3. Data Analysis & Insights: Lead the analysis of client and campaign data to generate actionable insights that inform creative strategy, optimize campaign performance, and drive business growth. Develop and maintain data dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
  4. AI Integration in Creative: Explore and implement AI-driven creative tools and techniques to enhance the creative process, including AI-powered copywriting, image generation, and video editing. Educate and train creative teams on the potential of these tools.
  5. Client Solutions: Develop and pitch innovative AI-powered solutions for clients, showcasing the agency's expertise and delivering tangible value. This may involve developing bespoke AI applications or leveraging existing platforms.
  6. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and train existing team members on data literacy and AI awareness.
  7. Thought Leadership: Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI and data, sharing knowledge and insights with the agency and contributing to industry thought leadership through blog posts, presentations, and conferences.
  8. Budget Management: Manage the budget allocated to AI and data initiatives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximising ROI.
  9. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, strategy, media, and client services, to ensure seamless integration of AI and data into all aspects of the agency's work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a data science or AI-related role, preferably within a creative or marketing agency.
  • Deep understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and other AI techniques.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with experience using tools like SQL, Python, R, and data visualisation platforms.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines.
  • A passion for creativity and innovation, with a strong understanding of the creative process.
  • Experience in developing and pitching data-driven solutions to clients.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Experience with AI-powered creative tools and platforms.
  • Experience in building and managing data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with the advertising and marketing landscape.
  • A degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.
