Job description

Agriculture Course Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Agriculture Course Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will involve overseeing and delivering high-quality instruction for T Level Livestock and Crops courses, ensuring students receive an engaging and comprehensive education in agriculture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching and managing T Level courses related to Livestock and Crops
  2. Delivering lessons across a range of subject areas, including but not limited to:
    1. Anatomy and Physiology of Plants and Animals
    2. Agricultural Diseases and Disorders
    3. Environmental Sustainability in Farming
    4. Crop Propagation and Development
    5. Agricultural Business and Enterprise
    6. Working in the Agriculture Industry
  3. Supporting students in their learning journey, providing guidance and mentorship
  4. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the course curriculum remains current and relevant to industry needs
  5. Assisting in the assessment and evaluation of student progress
  6. Contributing to the continuous improvement of the program and the wider agricultural department

Requirements:
  1. Strong background in agriculture, with expertise in livestock, crops, and associated industry practices
  2. Passion for education and a commitment to student success
  3. No formal teaching qualification required—however, candidates must be willing to work towards a Level 5 Teaching Qualification, which will be provided in-house
  4. Excellent communication and organizational skills
  5. Ability to inspire and engage students with practical and theoretical agricultural knowledge
