Job description

ADAS, part of the RSK Group, is looking to appoint an Agribusiness Consultant on a full-time, permanent basis. This role can be based on a hybrid working arrangement with travel required into their Gleadthrope or Boxworth offices.


ADAS is the leading supplier of independent technical, environmental, and farm business advice to the UK’s farmers and growers, land managers, and related organisations. We provide a wide range of specialist consultancy services to individual businesses, undertake leading-edge research, and deliver knowledge transfer and advice programmes on behalf of government and industry organisations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply skills across a range of farm business management consultancy services, such as strategic planning, farm business reviews, creation of diversified enterprises, and financial analysis and planning.
  • Work alongside other members of staff to enable clients to achieve their overall business objectives by providing independent direction and actions to improve performance on a continual basis.
  • Work with the team to develop skills to analyse problems and provide independent and cost-effective solutions to clients that include technically correct and legally compliant advice.
  • Grow your knowledge of the use of the suite of ADAS ALM support tools including BPS Impact Calculator, Xero, and FM9.
  • Continue to upskill your technical and business knowledge to facilitate your development as a consultant, producing technical reports to a good standard with attention to detail.
  • Contribute to business development by promoting ADAS and developing contacts with new and existing clients, through meetings, speaking at events, and press and media activities.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of ADAS ALM projects and assist project managers to achieve this wherever possible.

Qualifications And Experience
  • Agricultural or business-related qualification to HND or Degree level in a land-based subject area.
  • Practical post-graduate experience in agriculture or business-related role is required.
  • Display good communication skills, both internally and externally, to influence key decision-makers.
  • Creative and solution-oriented with a determination to deliver value to the client.
  • Competent user of Microsoft software including Windows, Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel away from home base, including overnight stays, when required.
