Job description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Sub-Agent to assist in the final phases of an Environment Agency (EA) project. This is a 6-month contract role, ideal for a professional with a strong background in civil engineering and site management who is looking for short-term work.
As Sub-Agent, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient completion of site activities. You will be working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager to oversee the final stages, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and EA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the day-to-day management of site activities during the closing phase
  2. Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient demobilisation
  3. Ensure compliance with EA standards, health and safety regulations, and other statutory obligations
  4. Monitor and report on progress against the project plan, maintaining strict adherence to deadlines
  5. Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and environmental protection
  6. Manage decommissioning tasks, including the removal of temporary works and reinstatement of site conditions
  7. Liaise with key stakeholders, including EA representatives, local authorities, and the project team
  8. Prepare handover documentation and ensure all close-out paperwork is completed to a high standard
