Qualifications

  • Experience in building and maintenance within the modular marketplace.
  • Trained in IPAF and PASMA with H&S awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance on modular fleet as directed by supervisors.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and signatures are received.
  • Be flexible to work outside general hours as required.

Job description

Job Title: Aftercare Maintenance Operative - FIXED TERM CONTRACT - 12 months

Location: London - (M25 Area)

Thorn Baker's Award-Winning Modular Specialist client with over 65 years of experience is looking for an Aftercare Maintenance Operative to ensure that all maintenance issues are carried out in a timely manner on client sites at various locations.

Required Skills:

  1. Good building and maintenance knowledge within the modular marketplace
  2. Trades experience required: Joinery / Roofing / Plumbing / Electrical
  3. Ability to work on own initiative
  4. IPAF and PASMA trained H&S awareness
  5. Ability to prepare RAMs and other associated safety paperwork
  6. Good communication skills including Microsoft packages and Aftercare online portal system
  7. Full, clean driving license, CSCS card, DBS cleared
  8. Working at Height including use of access equipment such as MEWPs, Scissor Lifts, Scaffold Towers etc.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. To carry out maintenance on our modular fleet as directed by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor and in their absence an alternative manager
  2. To handle the role in a professional manner as a representative of the company with face-to-face contact with the client on-site
  3. To ensure that all paperwork is completed at each job and signatures are received
  4. To collect materials from suppliers or company depots as per arrangements
  5. To keep a site diary
  6. To be responsible for coordinating own tools, PPE, van, parking permits, London Congestion Charge as required
  7. To assist in installations, uplifts and site surveys as and when required
  8. To be flexible if site requirements mean working outside of general working hours such as weekend work and outside core hours where operationally required
  9. To carry out refurbishment work if required and attend site meetings/divisional meetings as requested
  10. To be proactive in communications to internal clients and external
