Location:

About your role:

This is a unique and exciting opportunity — fundamental to the heart of our business growth.

If you're looking for a role where your impact is tangible and the growth you drive is visible, this could be for you. With direct exposure to senior commercial directors and a fast-paced, evolving environment, no two days will be the same.

In this role, you will manage and expand our Indirect Channel Sales through partnerships and affiliates. You'll drive sales across our product range, overseeing processes, legalities, commercial negotiations, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Adhering to our Digital First marketing strategy, you'll develop and execute partner and affiliate plans to hit weekly targets. This dynamic position demands persuasive communication, robust sales and relationship skills, negotiation prowess, and excellent communication.

You will produce regular activity reports to communicate performance and drive continuous improvement, using analysis to generate actionable insights that inform commercial and budget recommendations for affiliate and third-party channels. Additionally, you will collaborate seamlessly across the matrix team to ensure that all plans are customer, data, and insight-driven, and where possible, fully integrated across all relevant channels and customer journeys, including online customer service channels.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing relationships with stakeholders and senior management to secure approval for plans, forecasts, business cases, and marketing materials.
  • Ensuring the British Gas brand is properly represented in all marketing initiatives and that partners adhere to our branding guidelines.
  • Developing and maintaining a KPI dashboard for affiliate and partner metrics, leading and evolving the evaluation and measurement of all activities, and being responsible for monthly audits.
  • Recruiting and onboarding new third-party sales channels and affiliate publishers.
  • Following the correct finance processes and procedures, ensuring purchase orders are sought and invoices are processed in a timely manner.
  • Keeping abreast of third-party and affiliate marketing developments, including thought leadership, technology, platforms, and channels.
  • Building the case and defining the role for emerging platforms, channels, tools, and best practices to drive continual improvements.
  • Playing a significant role in developing and driving a digital-first marketing agenda.
  • Driving a performance-driven culture, emphasizing personal accountability, and ensuring objectives are tracked and measured with relevant development plans in place.

Here's what we’re looking for: We are seeking someone with strong knowledge of affiliate marketing and solid commercial acumen.

You’ll thrive in creating and nurturing strong working relationships with both internal stakeholders and third-party partners.

Key to success will be:

  • Experience managing affiliate network partners, third-party partnerships, and price comparison websites in residential customer sales.
  • Proven experience in commercial marketing, with a successful track record in developing and delivering campaigns.
  • Strong networking, influencing, and communication abilities, both internally and externally.
  • Adaptability to high-pressure, deadline-driven environments with a flexible approach to change.
  • Strong commercial understanding, including PO, invoicing, and performance management.
  • Solid knowledge of affiliate trends, platforms, and best practices.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including tracking/tagging implementation.
  • Commercial acumen to analyse insights and assess effectiveness for strategic improvements.
  • Capability to maintain and develop key relationships while challenging stakeholders to ensure performance.
