What we are striving to achieve requires innovative thinking, creative problem solving, clarity of purpose and a willingness to demonstrate leadership at the highest level. Our engineering leadership is supportive, team oriented, focused and equipped with a range of engineering disciplines; we anticipate you adding another pillar to an already formidable capability.

As an Aerothermal Engineer, you will be responsible for and have knowledge in problem resolution, defining requirements, analysing test data, aerothermal and thermodynamic modelling of components and systems to facilitate component and engine design. In addition, responsibilities include methods development, rig test support, verifying products, and supporting physical & functional systems and components throughout the product lifecycle.

What we offer

We offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits. These include bonus, employee support assistance and employee discounts.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you will be doing

In the role, you will be accountable for:

  • Using in-house computational tools and methods to derive understanding of component and system level interactions to develop and maintain a functional understanding of the engine and understand interactions in combustion and high temperature environments.
  • Requirement setting for rig activities, and subsequent monitoring and analysis of rig test measurements and results.
  • Occasional running and supporting of low and high technology level tests.
  • Developing methods with view to facilitating robust test vehicle design, including flight test.
  • Defining creative, robust, optimised solutions managing risk and applying new technology as appropriate to deliver quality within highly regulated industries.
  • Supporting validation and verification activities.

  • An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body appropriate to region. In the UK - attained/working towards Chartered status is preferred (and equivalent regional variations).
