Aerospace Assembly Technician

My client is seeking an Aerospace Assembly Technician to join them on a permanent basis.

As an Aerospace Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for the final assembly of Civil Aircraft Landing Gears.

Role: Aerospace Assembly Technician
Pay: From £28,898.73 per annum
Location: West London (Hybrid after a period of familiarisation)
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (Double Day shifts)
Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted.

Job Profile:

1. The assembly of mechanical components and installation of hydraulic and electrical systems to aircraft undercarriages and associated hardware.
2. Assembly being conducted in line with all OEM, legislative, and industry requirements providing right first time, quality primary structural aircraft products.
3. Management of consumable items.
4. Ensuring the correct functioning of the quality infrastructure.
5. Inspection/duplicate inspection of completed assemblies/sub-assemblies.
6. Liaison with associated departments.
7. Precise work scheduling.
8. All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with safety and environmental regulations and company procedures.
9. An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the company's environmental procedures.

Skills/Experience Required:

1. Ideally applicants will have served an aircraft-related apprenticeship or equivalent with experience in a similar service industry.
2. Emphasis placed upon those applicants that have served within an EASA/FAA approved organization.
3. Experience of assembly of components.
4. Extensive experience working in an airline/aerospace related environment.
5. Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the legislative and quality system requirements.
6. Good understanding of Excel and Word.
7. Knowledge of company health and safety practices.
8. Evidence of people management skills.
