This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of highly skilled professionals working at the forefront of high-speed aerodynamic research and development. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of technically complex test programmes – from early planning to wind tunnel readiness.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Oversee aerodynamic operations, managing workflow, resources, and project deadlines
  • Ensure the preparation of models and test cells meets operational plans and contractual milestones
  • Collaborate across departments to maintain alignment and smooth test execution
  • Input into project planning and bid estimation, advising on resources and timelines
  • Lead and support a team of operational staff, conducting performance reviews and progression plans
  • Own RAMS documentation and develop standard operating procedures
  • Manage maintenance schedules for key equipment (mechanical rigs, electrical systems, etc.)
  • Build a team skills matrix to support training, upskilling, and team resilience
  • Champion a culture of safety, efficiency, continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Identify and implement improvements in equipment, processes and working environments

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent communicator, able to coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable working under pressure and making informed decisions
  • Practical understanding of technical test equipment and processes
  • Hands-on experience in developing teams, procedures and continuous improvement
  • Aerospace or high-tech R&D experience preferred
