An established industry player seeks an enthusiastic clinical pharmacist to lead a project aimed at improving medicines management in mental health services. We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident clinical pharmacist with experience of working in mental health to support the leadership and delivery of a three-month project to improve medicines management and optimisation in our four Home Treatment Teams based in Guildford, Chertsey, Frimley and Redhill. Successful completion of this project will inform a business case for regular Pharmacy Service provision.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will thrive on a challenge, with an understanding of the medicine's optimisation issues within mental health. A wide range of experience and skills are required including excellent clinical, organisational, and communication skills, sound IT skills and the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team. You will have a proven track record of successful implementation of medicines optimisation projects and have the vision to develop innovative solutions. Previous experience of working with community mental health services or home treatment teams would be advantageous.
This role will involve:
A registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council, the postholder must have significant post registration experience, and highly specialist knowledge acquired through an accredited post-graduate pharmacy qualification (minimum 2-year university Diploma level) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
