About us
We are looking for an experienced social work practitioner to join our Inpatient CAMHS service. This is an essential role in delivering high quality social work services by combining expert knowledge, leadership, and specialized skills to support people, families, and communities.
About the Role
The role of Advanced Social Work Practitioner will support the Principal Manager in the delivery of the commissioned social work contract to Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
You will have a complex and high-risk caseload where you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team ensuring the social work role is embedded to supporting people in achieving their best outcomes. This will be through thorough social work assessments and interventions to ensure patient safety and well-being.
You will apply evidenced based practice and advanced clinical skills to address social, psychological, and legal issues. This will be demonstrated through knowledge and application of relevant legislation and frameworks.
You will deputize for the Principal Manager and deliver practice supervision to the social work team ensuring that we continue to deliver a high standard service.
This leadership role will enable you to support the team in their development, identifying and encouraging the strengths of the team and wider service delivery.
You will support the social work team development through Student placement activity, ASYE, Level 3, Practice Educator, BIA and AMHP.
You will work closely with the family and friends of people as well as external professionals and other stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes.
You will have sound knowledge of safeguarding adults and children and will lead on this for the service.
