Job Title: Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) – GP Practice

Location: Manchester

Hours: Full-time or Part-time considered

Contract Type: Permanent or Fixed-Term Considered

Our Client is a forward-thinking, friendly GP practice serving a diverse patient population in Manchester. They are passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and are now looking for an experienced and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join their multidisciplinary team.

The Role:

As an ANP, you will work autonomously within your professional boundaries to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients presenting with both acute and chronic conditions. You’ll be a key player in their clinical team, providing a high standard of care and supporting their GPs, practice nurses, and wider healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide same-day consultations and manage minor illnesses, long-term conditions, and urgent presentations.
  2. Carry out physical examinations, order and interpret investigations, and make clinical decisions independently.
  3. Prescribe medications and treatments in line with your qualifications and national guidelines.
  4. Participate in health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management programmes.
  5. Support the development of clinical protocols and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  6. Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborative care planning.

Qualifications:

  1. Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  2. MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent experience).
  3. Extensive experience working in primary care or a relevant clinical setting.
  4. Confident in autonomous decision-making and managing complex patient needs.
  5. Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
