The Senior Health Care Assistant is a member of a multidisciplinary Departmental team who undertakes duties in relation to patient care and department administration, in the Acute Hospital setting.
Delegated work and duties will be assigned and carried out under the direct and indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse in accordance with the competencies laid down for NVQ Level 2. Where additional skills training is identified as required in the job description the post holder will not undertake those duties until training has been undertaken (except as part of the supervised learning experience).
