Job description
- Advanced clinical specialist in the management of the diabetic foot and associated complications.
- Implement, monitor and evaluate evidence-based, specialised and individualised care programmes for patients with diabetes. These include acute or chronic neuropathies, vascular insufficiencies, infection, osteomyelitis and advanced complex wound management.
- Training and development in the assessment and care of the diabetic foot, to involve prescribing, referring to related specialities, education and patient empowerment.
- Working within an MDT specialist team in outpatient and inpatient settings.
