Advanced Clinical Pharmacist - Specialist Surgery and Theatres

- To operate as an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist in Surgery across the Trust.
- To be the speciality pharmacist for Specialist Surgery and Theatres supporting safe and effective use of medicines within these specialties to improve medicines safety.
- To operationally oversee on a day to day basis the performance of the surgical team working within these specialties.
- To effectively manage and supervise pharmacists working within the surgical team and oversee the supervision of other pharmacy staff working on the surgical wards.
- To deputise for the Lead Pharmacist for Surgery at Pharmacy and Care Group level when required.
Main duties of the job

- To effectively manage and supervise pharmacists working within the surgical team and oversee the supervision of other pharmacy staff working on the surgical wards
- To deputise for the Lead Pharmacist for Surgery at Pharmacy and Care Group level when required

Experience
- Significant experience working with surgical specialties
- Teaching a variety of HCP
- Management of staff and or service
Qualifications
- MPharms
- Diploma or equivalent clinical knowledge demonstrated
- NMP or enrolled on a course
- Educational Supervisor or equivalent
Skills
Knowledge
- Working with a speciality as a dedicated pharmacist
- Medicines use in surgery
