Join our team for an exciting three-month locum opportunity as an Adults Social Worker in Liverpool. You will be an integral part of the Adult Social Care department, where you will manage a diverse caseload and contribute significantly to the wellbeing of adults with care and support needs. With a salary of £46.08 per hour, this full-time role offers a unique chance to enhance your career while making a meaningful impact in the community.

What you will do:

  1. Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied adult social work caseload with appropriate supervision, guidance, and support.
  2. Prepare detailed reports and statements, representing the department at judicial hearings and advocating for clients.
  3. Engage directly with service users, carers, and families, conducting assessments and designing individual support plans in collaboration with health professionals and advocates.
  4. Lead safeguarding enquiries, ensuring timely completion and clear communication with relevant parties.
  5. Participate in or lead multidisciplinary forums and act as a Chair when necessary, ensuring effective collaboration and information sharing.
  6. Adhere to legislative frameworks, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005, applying professional judgment and critical reflection to inform decisions.

Qualification:

  1. Dip SW, BA or MA Social Work or equivalent / or due to receive qualification within next 5 months following application.
  2. Social Work England registered or due to receive registration within the next 5 months following application.
