Job description

Adults Senior Social Worker
Team: Mental Health/Enhanced Team
Location: Kirklees
Pay Rate: TBC

2 full-time experienced Social Workers are required in the North Kirklees Enhanced Team.

The Enhanced Pathway provides evidence-based and therapeutic interventions for people with complex mental health needs. Our teams work with service users and their families and carers to enable them to live well in their communities.

As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for a caseload, which will involve you undertaking holistic strength-based assessments and commissioning personalised support plans.

  1. You will provide an important and valued professional function working within a multi-disciplinary team with some of the most vulnerable people in society.
  2. You will be expected to provide at least restrictive and a preventative approach to service users to avoid hospital admission and ensure people remain in their homes.
  3. You will require working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, Human Rights Act, Mental Capacity Act, and associated Codes of Practice to fulfil your duties in this role.
  4. You will need to have experience of working with the service user group and be able to use social work methods to promote positive change, independence, and wellbeing in accordance with assessed need, whilst promoting choice and control for adults and carers.
  5. Working knowledge of relevant legislation and ability to apply legislation to practice is required, along with good IT skills to support accurate and timely case recordings.
