Job description

Job Title: Adult Social Worker – Learning Disabilities – Bournemouth
Location: Bournemouth (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: £35 per hour

About the Role:

Bournemouth Council is seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to join the Learning Disability Service team as an Adult Social Worker. This role involves undertaking outstanding review work, including scheduling and conducting in-person reviews, reassessments, carer assessments, and support planning as needed.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will conduct in-person reviews and reassessments within the BCP geographic area. You will perform carers assessments and support planning based on individual needs, scheduling visits at mutually convenient times. Your work will be screened and allocated by the supervising manager, authorised through Learning Disabilities Quality Assurance (LDQA) processes. Additionally, you will provide support and training for the Mosaic case management system. You will show a proactive approach to ensure the well-being and support of individuals with learning disabilities, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a qualification in Social Work at degree level and have at least 2 years of post-qualified experience in social work.

Essential Requirement:

  • Flexibility regarding working patterns and hours for the right candidate.
  • In-person work and travel within the BCP geographic area (Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole).
  • Experience with the Mosaic case management system is highly preferable, but training and support will be provided.
