Job description

Part time Adult Social Care Locum Lawyer

Fully remote working

South West based client

Up to £55ph

Sellick Partnership is currently working with one of our very good Local Authority clients based in the South West of England in the recruitment of an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer.

This is a part time opportunity working circa 20 hours per week.

The successful applicant will manage a varied caseload consisting of:

  • High level, complex mental capacity litigation
  • Welfare based decision making, residence
  • Contact with others
  • Advising on mental capacity in relation to finance
  • Contentious deputyship matters
  • The role may also include some work on displacement, applications for nearest relative, ordinary residence, and advising on care act matters.
  • You may also get involved in some JR advice in relation to S21A and S16

We are looking for a qualified lawyer (Solicitor, barrister of FCILEX qualified) with recent experience of adult social care law.

This is a fully remote role and a great opportunity to join a supportive team in a well regarded Local Authority.
